To lift spirits before the stress of AP testing, the McLean Korean Club hosted a meeting full of Korean snacks, drinks and encouragement. The gathering provided a chance for members to relax and recharge while studying.
“We brought lots of Korean cookies and foods to cheer everyone up before AP exams,” said sophomore Helen Park, incoming secretary for the 2025-26 school year.
The meeting also introduced the club’s incoming officers, who shared their vision for the upcoming year.
“The main goal of our club is to make a positive difference in the community,” said junior Yeyoung Park, incoming co-president for the 2025-26 school year. “We have a lot of things planned for next year to [achieve] that goal.”
Building on the club’s recent growth and momentum, the new leadership team hopes to broaden its community outreach.
“We want to try focusing on having impact even outside of the school,” said junior Daniel Kim, incoming co-president for the 2025-26 school year. “In addition to the senior living home visits we already regularly do, we want to do research projects to enter competitions or publish in local newspapers. It’s all about spreading Korean spirit and culture.”
