The International Club hosted its last meeting of the year to reflect on the club’s success and achievements. Members also played an international-themed Kahoot that featured questions about singers from around the globe.
“It was a memorable experience playing Kahoot to end the year,” sophomore Henock Abnet said. “I loved how I was challenged and learned a lot about different songs across the world.”
The Kahoot ranged from famous songs like “Despacito” to “Shape of You”, calling on players to guess which country the respective songs originated from.
“It’s a bittersweet feeling, saying goodbye to the officers and seniors,” Abnet said. “The International Club had a lot of successes this year, and it feels like the year went by so fast.”
The Senior officers, co-presidents and vice president of the club shared their final thoughts at the end of the meeting.
“The one thing that definitely helped The International Club [throughout the year] was overcoming challenges by utilizing our members of the leadership team,” vice president Sophia Dannenberg said. “Organizing ourselves and assigning every person a role was especially crucial for [events] like International Night.”
International Club’s senior leadership team successfully coordinated plans and managed initiatives to show notable results in many different events.
“Since everyone had a role on the leadership team, the stress of planning [large events throughout the year] was spread evenly into a more feasible amount for each person,” Dannenberg said. “Everyone involved worked incredibly hard to be able to have such a great [year].”
