Starting to get sick of winter? Its easy to get weary in this dreary weather. But, like all seasons, this one will pass soon enough. Until then, try to look for reasons to enjoy winter. No other seasons provides weather that gets us school off or has so many holidays.

Frozen (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is still going strong on the iTunes charts, two months after its release. A wonderfully composed album, it features a beautiful orchestral score as well as eleven songs with vocals. Definitely worth a buy, the compilation includes the Oscar-nominated song “Let It Go”, the best song on the soundtrack.

The snow days essentially created a second winter break for many FCPS students. Some students took the opportunity to go out of town or catch up on homework, but others decided to partake in a classic outdoor activity: sledding. Some students spent the days sledding at a local elementary school.
Students always hope for snow days. However, the truth is that FCPS should be giving less than they have this year.

This year, FCPS has given multiple snow days and tow hour delays. However, they have given too much to the students and have been two lenient. This has caused teachers to panic as a result of their ruined schedules, resulting in teachers and students trying to cram in work at the end of the quarter.

Winters in Virginia can be long and unpredictable. Although everyone enjoys a day off due to snow, after we lose snow days we get our holidays taken away or days added on to the end of the school year. This seems to be the case this year and gives reason to why we should receive more snow days.
