Students share opinions on Ethics Day

The seniors attended various Ethics Day seminars away at Marymount University on Nov. 14. The rest of the student body stayed at McLean to participate in ethics-related activities. Photo by Erik Thomas

The week after Ethics Day, Nov. 14, six students shared their thoughts on how they feel about this mandatory lesson.

“If you don’t know your ethics by high school, then something is wrong. We shouldn’t take up any school time to learn about them.” – junior Emily McAuliffe

“Ethics Day, to me, is unnecessary and shouldn’t be something we have to learn.” – junior Merrill Holt

“Although ethics is important, it’s not something we need to be learning at this age.” – junior Ana Reuss

“I think ethics is important and it’s not a big deal to me if it takes up one or two periods of my schoolday.” – junior Kara Hannibal

“Ethics is a nice quality to have and it didn’t really effect my day too much, so I don’t really have an opinion on it.” – junior Lilia Souri

“I don’t like Ethics Day, and I’m glad I don’t have to go to anymore of those.” – senior Forrest Stieg
