Thanksgiving break and winter break are coming closer. Everyone in McLean High School should be excited for them and should be ready to enjoy the upcoming breaks. However, not all students are just excited for them because some teachers assign multiple homework and projects over the breaks.
According to “OxfordDictionaries,” the definition of break is a pause in work or during an activity or event. In other words, break is a period of no work or even no worries about work, but many students’ breaks do not match with the definition; most students do have quite a lot of school works to complete during the holidays.
Some teachers argue that it is totally up to students whether or not they will work and do homework over the breaks. However, when each teacher of different classes assign projects and work due right after the breaks, it is almost impossible for students to just relax and have free time.
Teachers can give homework or projects over the breaks, but it would be nice if the due dates are at least a few days after the breaks or before the breaks
so that students can actually rest and do not have to worry about school works during the breaks.
Then, students will be able to spend some time with their family, friends, and relax without thinking about homework all the time during the holidays.
