McLean High School is known for its continuous excellence in sports. However, a few distinguished sports can add to McLean’s already exceptional sports program.
Quidditch
McLean students can experience the magical world of Harry Potter as a reality through Muggle Quidditch. This sport is exactly like the game played in the story, as players throw deflated volleyballs (quaffles, obviously), and Seekers try to catch the Golden Snitch (a tennis ball in a long sock hanging from an official dressed in yellow frantically running around the field). Meanwhile, Beaters hurl bludgers at opponents, who, when hit, promptly get off their brooms.
It is hard to even tell the difference between these two pictures. Quidditch players at McLean can experience the thrill of the game as the wind powers their brooms and they fly across the field.
Hopscotch
There are a myriad of hopscotch games that McLean players should be able to participate in, all of which require tenacity and determination. As for customization, players can easily and giddily add their own touch to their hopscotch designs!
As seen in the picture below, some hopscotch variations even congratulate athletes as they finish.
Underwater basket weaving
Have you ever had the irresistible urge to weave baskets underwater? If so, then underwater basket weaving (UWBW) is the quintessential sport for McLean’s youths. UWBW will satiate McLean students’ need for an audacious activity that is really out there.
UWBW is an excellent way to bring the entire McLean community together. And who knows? Some students might even go on to play at the collegiate level.
Toe Wrestling
Sports that deal with the battle between appendages are very popular right now – take toe wrestling, for example. Toe wrestling requires extreme precision and skill, as well as nimble toes.
Above, we see the utmost concentration in a toe-wrestling individual. His grimacing face glistens from effort and sweat as he valiantly attempts to defeat his foe. This sport is a must for McLean’s fall season. McLean students will come together as they passionately cheer for their heroes.
Warning: These sports may result in denial of reality, childlike behavior, shortness of breath and dizziness, and foot fungi.
