1. How I Met Your Mother:
This eight-season sitcom details a fun-loving, romantic bachelor named Ted on his extensive yet humorous quest to find his soul mate. Each episode is a flashback described vividly to his children several years in the future. Along with the help of his supportive friends, this compelling show hits you with plot twist after plot twist and always leaves you feeling good; it’s a must-watch.
2. Trailer Park Boys:
This hilarious and sometimes vulgar program features the daily shenanigans of an underprivileged Canadian trailer park community. Get-rich-quick schemes and run-ins with the law are the way of life for main characters Julian, Ricky, and Bubbles. This so-called “documentary” isn’t the best if you’re looking for depth in a show, but it will keep you laughing from beginning to end.
3. Freaks and Geeks:
This high school drama is set in the 1980s and features a young but prominent cast, including the likes of Seth Rogan, James Franco, and Jason Segal. The show highlights more of the internal problems a typical high schooler may face, veering away from academics. This is one of the few programs where you may cringe in embarrassment, cry out in sadness, and smile in jubilation in just one episode; it is one of the best shows you can find on Netflix.
