Many students used these extra days to cram in homework and study for tests, hoping to get their grades up with the end of second quarter looming. Some students even went out of town, but the most popular activity among McLean students was a common snow day endeavor: sledding.
Senior Alex Kohout went to the local elementary school, Lemon Road, to go sledding.
“As a senior, I feel like I don’t have a lot of time left to go sledding because I’ll be in college next year so I decided I would take every opportunity I have,” said Kohout. She not only went sledding one of the snow days, but all three!
Kohout was very grateful for the mini-break as were many other students, but she admits that she did not get much homework done during it.
