During the school week starting Jan. 6, sophomores Matt Livingston, Reid Madison and Malieka Rehman presented an educational presentation about the topic of entrepreneurship. Their purpose was to inform their fellow DECA members about entrepreneurship as part of their Entrepreneurship Promotion Plan Project for DECA States.
During the brief presentation in the lecture hall, the students informed people of how people can start a business and how one can be a successful entrepreneur. They also talked about some successful entrepreneurs, including 2013 McLean graduate and current U. Penn student Taylor Brown.
“It was very informative and made me enthusiastic about starting my own business some day,” junior Mike Padmanabhan said.
The project helped inform McLean viewers and encouraged thinking outside the box in order to create a business. Livingston, Madison and Rehman hope that the presentation can help get them to nationals while inspiring other McLean students.
