The National Honor Society has brought back its Lunch and Learn Program for the 2013-2014 school year. The program allows all students to receive tutoring in a multitude of different subjects from their peers in the National Honor Society during all lunches.
The program is particularly useful for students who have assessments to study for in the classes after the lunch block. For instance, Junior Matthew Spahr said, “Lunch and Learn is a great opportunity for me to get some homework done or get help for a test before the last two classes of the day.” Many students like Matthew are happy to see that Lunch and Learn has returned for the 2013-2014 school year.
This year, some small changes have been made to the program. In previous years, Lunch and Learn was held in the Career Center on both red and silver days. Now, the program is just on silver day lunches and will take place in the Lecture Hall. Overall, Lunch and Learn should serve as a good opportunity for students to get some work done and receive academic help.
