Not only do they have delicious treats, but the restaurant itself has a very welcoming and open atmosphere. The first thing I noticed is the giant ice cream cone-shaped bench next to the door, welcoming me to a world of sweets. Once I walked in, I was impressed by the clean table area and colors of the restaurant. I ordered through easy-to-use touchscreens, which were placed next to a variety of board games.
I first tried the classic chocolate chip cookie, which was priced at $3.49. This cookie was the perfect texture, and the chocolate chips melted nicely in. The flavor was pleasant, but not too sweet or rich. Nevertheless, it was still only a chocolate chip cookie, and the price may be a bit expensive for the taste itself. So, I give the chocolate chip cookie an 8/10.
Next, I tried the premium Reese’s Peanut cookie at $5.79. This cookie was flawless. Each bite featured a strong peanut butter taste, and there was Reese’s flavor along the bottom of the whole cookie. The Reese’s chunks also added a nice crunch and flavor to the cookie. Overall, this cookie receives a 9/10 for its great texture and superb flavor.
After that, I ordered the cinnamon roll for $5.99. The massive roll contained the perfect amount of cinnamon flavor, and the vanilla cream cheese frosting added a light and sweet taste. My only critique would be the consistency of the cinnamon roll. To actually eat the cinnamon roll, I needed to carefully cut it into pieces, which took a long time due to the consistency of the roll. I’d rate the cinnamon roll a 6/10; despite its great flavor, the roll was too firm.
Lastly, I had the Strawberry Moonshine soda, which came from their wide list of dirty soda options. The Strawberry Moonshine included strawberry syrup, vanilla syrup, coconut cream and Dr. Pepper. This drink was exquisite from the first to last sip. The strawberry syrup gave the drink a refreshing addition, and the vanilla syrup added an extra sweet note, along with the coconut cream. The Dr. Pepper perfectly balanced out the rest of the flavors. This combination led to a top tier drink, helping it to achieve a solid 10/10.
I’ve been on the hunt for a good dessert place, and I found it at Softspot. Even though it’s in Chantilly, the late opening hours make it very accessible. The large range of items and great taste make it an absolute hit.
