Lavender Kiss: 4.5/5 stars
As a certified fan of all things lavender, the second I saw this drink on the menu, I knew I had to order it. An iced latte with honey and lavender syrup, complete with any milk of your choice, this drink was the perfect companion on a sunny day. The saltiness of the oat milk blended perfectly with the bitter taste of the lavender syrup, which when combined with the sweet honey to create a refreshing and enticing drink that woke me up after a long day of AP exam review. The only thing that would’ve made this drink a 5/5 was a stronger taste from the espresso to bring out the bitter flavors in the drink. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this treat to any coffee fans trying Bakery Museum & Co.
Tiramisu Latte: 3.5/5 stars
Given my love for its namesake Italian dessert, I knew instantly that I had to give the iced tiramisu latte a try. The first few sips consisted of purely the tiramisu-flavored cold foam on top, which was beyond delicious. However, there was only a thin layer of tiramisu foam on top, and most of the drink was just a regular vanilla latte. While I wasn’t disappointed with the quality of the coffee, I would have loved to taste more of the unique tiramisu flavors.
Dubai Chocolate Croissant: 4.5/5 stars
At first glance, this treat appeared to be little more than a regular croissant with chocolate on top and a fancy name to give it the illusion of uniqueness. At first bite, however, I was blown away by this dessert. The croissant was filled with pistachio cream that was smooth, thick and heavenly to taste. It paired amazingly with the flaky croissant and rich chocolate on top. If I had to pick one thing to criticize, it would be that the croissant had been clearly baked a little while ago and did not taste fresh. However, my overall review is that Dubai chocolate is definitely worth the hype it gets on the internet, and I would gladly eat this croissant again.
Guava Danish: 4/5 stars
You usually can never go wrong with a coffee shop-danish, and I’m happy to say the same principle holds true at Bakery Museum & Co. However, in addition to your typical strawberry, blueberry, and lemon flavors, I was able to try a guava flavored danish. About the size of my fist, with a crisp, shiny pastry exterior and a coral-colored filling peeking through the diamond pattern, I was intrigued to see if the guava flavor would overwhelm the pastry. However, every bite of this delicious treat was a perfect combination of buttery, flaky pastry and tart guava with a mildly sweet aftertaste. Because of the thin layers of pastry surrounding the filling, each bite was equal parts pastry and filling, which I really enjoyed. My only complaint would be that the pastry was bigger so that I had more of it to enjoy. Otherwise, this pastry is the perfect treat to satisfy a sweet tooth and get in your fruit intake for the day.
