McMatics is currently preparing students for the upcoming Algebra 2 test and other math subjects. Students are planning on going to the club to review questions they missed and to do corrections for the test. Unit one is the base of the whole course, so making sure to have the foundation is important.

People who need math help, and students who can tutor people who need help can join by going to the lecture hall on Thursdays. The requirement is that the tutors must be a student of some sort of calculus class. It can be Pre-calculus, Calculus AB or Calculus BC. They tutor Algebra 2, but they can help with anything.

McMatics has helped students prepare for tests. Those who need help get help. Those doing the tutoring, get to have fun and help people.

“Although I am not sure of the specific improvements the club has had on student’s grades, students have told me that their sessions at McMatics have been very helpful in preparing for their tests,” Ngo said.

McMatics has been a club for three years.

“The best part of the club for me is being able to observe how my work has helped students succeed in understanding essential math concepts,” said senior Justin Ngo, who has been in the club the whole time.
