First ever McLean/Langley faculty game a success

The longtime tradition regarding McLean/Langley basketball matchups has been a girls/boys doubleheader in front of a rowdy, packed house of rival fans. This year, the tradition was updated with the addition of the inaugural faculty game to benefit Relay for Life.

The game featured 23 McLean teachers, coaches and activities staff facing off against nine Saxon faculty members, where the Saxons would emerge victorious with a plethora of three pointers leading the offensive charge.

“It was a lot of fun, it was a time for us to get closer with our colleagues and get to know one another better while having a fun competition with our rival,” McLean player Jeremy Hays said. “Next year I expect things to go a bit better. We were a little underprepared this year.”
