We can keep written records, travel the world in a matter of hours, and access the internet, a mysterious place where anybody can find anything at the click of a mouse. But advancement has also made some pointless contributions. Namely, the necktie.

Last minute tests pose problem for MHS students

Whether it is the end of the quarter or it is the end of the year, having final tests and assignments within one week have left students reeling. When it should be a time to slow down and give students a well-deserved break, teachers pick up the pace.
Wave goodbye to a quick lunch. Since the cafeteria has only 1 microwave, students are faced with the stress of waiting.

From last school year to the current one, McLean High School's cafeteria has lost a microwave. As a result, students who rely on microwaves to heat up their food are losing a significant and frustrating amount of time eating their food. To rid the school of this problem, microwaves must be added to the cafeteria.

Students need more time for lunch

The article focuses on the idea that students need more time for lunch. The current McLean High School schedule gives students 20 to 30 minutes for lunch. The main point of the article is that in the high stress enviornment of MHS in which students take a lot of difficult courses, students should have more break time at lunch.
Five-minute break is not enough, especially for students who are making transition between trailer and main school building. Break should be long enough to reach next period on time, and should also give students time to go to bathroom.
