Students need capable substitute teachers

Students need their substitute teachers to be able to capably teach the classes that they substitute for. Currently, substitutes are not chosen carefully enough to ensure learning will take place, but they should be selected with much more vigilance in order to smoothly transition between the substitute and the actual teacher.

Many McLean teachers use the Honor Code print-outs, bright and colorful, with the intention of promoting honesty and other McLean virtues. However, the handout remains ineffective. Though they are provided as a tool for students to cover their exams and a reminder to follow the Honor Code, students are aware of their uselessness.

Gateways should not be the cause of fear among the general populous at McLean high school. If a student studies it is only a matter of time until they achieve a perfect score. If one doesn't understand the material immediately they can take the gateway multiple times or use their teachers as a resource.
Bad grades do not always mean the student isn't smart. Teachers are supposed to teach students, before they can apply themselves.

Bad teachers leave lasting effect on students

In most cases, students who get bad grades tend to be interpreted as bad students, who don't study or do their homework. However, teachers can also be to blame. Students cannot learn, when their is no information to learn, which the teachers should be providing them with.
