Bull Run:
Up until Jan. 4, traveling to 7700 Bull Run Drive in Centreville will lead people to the Bull Run Festival of Lights, 2.5 miles illuminated by holiday light displays.
Without leaving the warmth of their cars, people experience the wide variety of impressive lights.
In addition to the light show, the attraction offers a carnival at the end of the drive for holiday shopping, a petting zoo, and more festive fun. A $30 entry fee for each vehicle makes it affordable fun for the whole family.
Open from 5:30 to 9:30 on weekends and 5:30 to 10:30 on weeknights and holiday nights. It’s well worth the 30 minute drive, but be advised, the 5:30 slot lines up with rush hour.
Meadowlark:
Showcasing a festive display of lights, Meadowlark Winter Walk of Lights ignites the holiday spirit of all who attend. From 5:00 to 10:00 each night, all are welcome to experience the impressive holiday lights.
Tickets are $23 per person, but make sure to get them quick, as this is a popular activity during holiday time.
With a range of sound effects and photo spots, Meadowlark reaches all ages. Along the twinkling path, there are food shops to purchase hot cocoa and savory treats, a fun interactive area for kids and a s’mores pit perfect for roasting marshmallows in the cold.
The lights have a range of colors and designs, such as the archways, nature scenes, Christmas trees and multicolored LEDs.
This half-mile-long stroll is a great holiday activity and it clearly shows the effort put into each display.
Cameron Run:
Up until Dec. 30th, anyone can indulge themselves in the magic of The Winter Village at Cameron Run. A $10 fee gives access to a path walk lined with spectacular Christmas lights.
The path leads to a turf field which is riddled with an impressive display of light sculptures and beautifully lit photo-ops. Also on the field is a firepit, where people can warm up, eat pizza, and roast marshmallows.
Additionally, the miniature golf course provides fun competition for all ages. While the Winter Village is only open until Dec. 30, ice skating tickets are available until Feb. 28.
