On May 29, McLean Softball competed against Marshall to see who goes to States. The final score of the game was a steep 12-3 with a McLean win. The team has had a great season compared to previous years.

“The last time McSoftball had a season comparable to this,” junior first baseman Gabi Norton said. “It was in 2010 when the team won the state championship.”

A great amount of focus and practice went into preparation for the game, and a few changes in drills helped their win.

“We adjusted our drills according to the scouting reports of Marshall, which helped us prepared to go against them,” Norton said.

“Hard work at practice was pretty much the key for this game as well as the Championship,” junior centerfielder Riley Simon said.
