With a blink of an eye, it is suddenly that time of year again where the cherry blossom trees light up Washington D.C. It’s been a long winter and finally the beautiful pink flowery trees are here to welcome Spring. Visiting the cherry blossom trees is a popular and common activity that McLean students enjoy to do.

“I went to see the cherry blossoms during the first peak weekend with a group of friends. We were all blown away at the beauty of the blossoms and their ability to draw in crowds from all around the globe. My favorite part of the blossoms is their color against the white monuments,” senior Mia Barringer said.

The Cherry blossom festival is one of the many attractions that people from all around come to see in the nation’s capital. It attracts people from Japan especially and adds culture and history to Washington DC.

“Going to see the cherry blossoms is an amazing experience because you see the monuments in the background and it’s so beautiful!” senior Anna Karl said.
