Highlanders share their top music choices for this summer


Summertime is the perfect season for students to make the most of their time off and enjoy the warmer weather. Music is always a great way to get into the summer spirit and there are plenty of songs that students should listen to this season. From classic summer anthems to modern hits, these songs will set the tone for any summer day. Whether you’re looking for something upbeat or something more mellow, there’s a perfect song out there for everyone. Martina Gutierrez, junior:

“I like music that is good for dancing and partying,” Gutierrez said. “[A lot of my favorite songs] get stuck in your head, making you sing them every day.”

“I enjoy all types of music but my favorite genres are pop and rap,” Sanders said. “I grew up listening to pop music on the radio and watching music videos on television so I developed a strong appreciation for the genre.”
