With palatable pink decor and a variety of fun menu options, it’s clear that this boba spot is sure to quickly become a new Mosaic favorite.
Dalgona Matcha with Boba – $6.99 – 4.5/5
This organic milk tea is the perfect option for matcha lovers everywhere. The sweet foam floating at the top paired with the refreshing, earthy tones of the matcha make this a wonderful pick-me-up drink for those looking for options with less sugar. Although this tea had a little too much milk for my preference, overall it was a solid matcha experience deserving of 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Ube Cheesecake Bao – $5.50 – 3.5/5
This purple bao bun was surprisingly savory, however, the warm, rich cream cheese filling was delectable nonetheless. The chewy, bready exterior beautifully decorated with gold edible glitter made for a nice presentation and aesthetic photos. Unfortunately, despite its artful appearance, the lack of flavor and relatively expensive pricing earned this bao bun 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Ube Milk Tea – $6.75 – 3/5
I was extremely excited for this ube milk tea and loved the rich purple coloring of the drink, however, that was where my enjoyment ended. This drink had very little defined flavor and mostly tasted like milk. Although ube itself is not a very strong flavor, I was still expecting a little more from this drink. In contrast, the tapioca pearls were just the right balance of chewy yet soft. Overall, this drink earns 3 out of 5 stars and I would strongly recommend ordering a different drink if you’re hoping to experience more flavor.
Strawberry Mochi donut – $3.79 – 4/5
This mochi donut provided pretty much everything I expected, from the sweet icing to the and delightfully chewy donut itself. Decorated with red, white and pink heart sprinkles, this donut matched the decor of the store and would make for the perfect sweet treat around Valentine’s Day. This donut is worthy of 4 out of 5 stars and I would definitely order this cheerful snack again to share with a friend.
