With summer starting at the end of June, students are ready to begin their summer vacations.Juniors are getting ready for their senior year and college admissions, while seniors are leaving and starting a new chapter of their lives. Living in NOVA also provides a lot of activities for those days with nothing to do around the house. Eager for summer to begin students share their summer plans and their excitement.
Junior Amber Tran Ha: “This summer I am a nanny for two boys in middle school. I am also talking my best friend down to college in Florida”
Sophomore Laurel Rottmanyang: “I am doing some camps for band and hanging out with friends. I am not really doing anything special this year”
Junior Cannon Johnson: “I am going on a youth trip to go biking and and white water rafting. We will be on the trip for 3 days and we Will be spending the nights camping next to the river. I am excited to go and have a lot of fun on this trip.”
Junior Thomas Buckman: “I’m going to just travel around and spend time with friends. I also plan to go find stuff to do in DC and explore.”
Sophomore Meg Holland: “My family and close friends of ours are traveling all around Europe for the month of July. I’m also having surgery on my hip in August so I’ll [be] bed ridden but still hope to spend a lot of time with my friends”
Junior Gabby Creeser: “I am going to Norway with my dad and I am super excited”
Senior Karen Aroche: “Of course I am going to spend time with friends, but I am also going to work a lot so I can be ready when I leave for VCU in August.”
