The Barden Bellas are back in theaters on May 15th in Pitch Perfect 2. The movie picks up 3 years after the events of the first film, with the acapella group entering an international competition which no American team has won. Along with Becca (Anna Kendrick) returning as the lead, there will be many familiar faces, like Jesse (Skylar Astin) and Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson). Directed by Elizabeth Banks, expect this film to be a popular summer hit.

In this final installment of the Hunger Games film trilogy, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) teams up with District 13 as the Mockingjay to end the ongoing battle with the Capitol. Set to come out on Nov. 20th, this science fiction war film is a movie you can’t miss.
The Avengers return to battle a new foe, Ultron, in this long-awaited sequel, with the addition of more superheroes, such as Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). The teaser trailer released shows promise of yet another acclaimed Marvel film full of action. Fans of the Avengers and other Marvel films will not be disappointed by this movie, slated for release on May 1st.

The spin-off/prequel to the high-grossing Despicable Me films, Minions is set for release on July 10th, and details the history of the small yellow henchmen of Gru (Steve Carell) known for their gibberish voices and extreme excitability. Adapted from the Mortdecai trilogy, this film stars Johnny Depp as Charlie Mortdecai and features Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Munn, Aubrey Plaza, Ewan McGregor, and Paul Bettany. Mortdecai, an art dealer, travels the world to find a stolen painting rumored to have a code that unlocks a bank account full of Nazi gold. This action comedy film is coming to theaters on January 23rd.

A new superhero is introduced to the Marvel film series with Ant-Man, coming to theaters on July 17th. Con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must help his mentor Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) safeguard Ant-Man technology, which allows a decrease in someone’s size but increase in strength. Lang has to protect the secret of the Ant-Man suit and pull off heist that will save the world.
Paper Towns
Paper Towns is an upcoming American romantic mystery based on the novel of the same name by John Green. Set in Orlando, Florida, Quentin “Q” Jacobson (Nat Wolff) must find his love, Margo Roth Spiegelman (Cara Delevingne) who has gone missing by piecing clues left for him, resulting in a road trip across America with his four friends. Directed by Jake Schreier, this movie is set to come out on June 5th.
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials
Wes Ball returns to direct the second of the Maze Runner movies, with a release date of September 18th. Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and his friends have escaped the maze, but more trouble lies ahead of them. The world is ravaged by solar flares and destruction, and the Gladers must try to escape the grasp of WICKED before it’s too late.
The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is the life long dream of Sonny (Dev Patel), however he must juggle his commitments between the hotel responsibilities with the preparations of his impending marriage to the love of his life, Sunaina (Tina Desai). The hotel also deals with the arrival of a new American resident. (Richard Gere) Like its 2012 counterpart, the sequel is sure to provide laughs as it reunites original cast members Judi Dench and Maggie Smith.
Pixar’s upcoming film Inside Out reveals the inner workings of our minds… or its emotions, at least. Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), and Sadness (Phyllis Smith) live in Headquarters, the control center in 11 year old Riley’s brain. There are many upheavals in headquarters as Riley struggles to adjust to her new life after her family moves across the country. Inside Out will be released on June 19th – expect an emotional rollercoaster of a movie!
The Jungle Book
The third movie adaptation of the famous original Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling, an orphan boy is raised in the jungle with the help of a pack of wolves, a bear, and a black panther. Starring Scarlett Johansson, be sure to check out this adventure filled fantasy film.
The first feature film based on the original Peanuts characters in 35 years, Peanuts follows the mission that Snoopy must complete as he and his team must take to the skies to defeat their arch-nemesis. On the other hand, Charlie Brown must accomplish his own epic quest back home. Keep your eyes out for this charming, lovable film.
The Fantastic Four
Taking elements from the preceding Fantastic Four comics, The Fantastic Four is an upcoming film directed by Josh Trank. When four people travel to an alternate universe, they suddenly gain superhero powers and must work together as one team to save Earth from an all too familiar enemy. Starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara and others, this superhero film is slated to come out on Aug. 7th.
Based on the book The True Meaning of Smekday by Adam Rex, Home follows the adventures of Gratuity, or Tip (Rihanna), as she is on the run after an alien invasion by the optimistic yet inept Boov aliens. Along the way, the meets a banished Boov named Oh on her journey to Florida, and they soon discover the alien race behind the Boov’s invasion. The film will be released on March 27th, 2015.
An upcoming 3D science fiction adventure monster film, Jurassic World is the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park film series. Taking place 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park owned by Masrani Global Corporation. At the corporation’s request, the park’s geneticists create a genetically-modified hybrid dinosaur to boost visitor attendance, but things turn out disasterous as the 40 ft tall creature is let loose in the park.
