On Oct. 8, McLean’s boys volleyball team took on Herndon in its 11th match of the season. The match ended in a 3-0 rout for the Highlanders in what seems to be a recurring theme throughout the season, as they have not dropped a single set. In just their first year of existence, the team has skyrocketed into stardom, holding an impressive ranking of 10th in the nation.
“We need to keep up our team chemistry and mesh with every player and coach,” junior setter Evan Li said. “We can do this by continuing to work hard in practice and staying focused between games.”
The Highlanders look ahead to their last three regular season games, where they hope to finish off a wildly impressive first season undefeated.
“We still have a very long season ahead of us,” Li said. “We want to win state championships and become a more recognizable team at McLean.”
