The girls varsity tennis team has been working hard to prepare for their game against Oakton, which will take place on Mar. 15. This will be their second match of the season, and their most challenging one yet.
“This will definitely be a tough game but we all have high spirits and feel prepared,” freshman Anna Polykoff said. “We hope to win and keep this start of the season winning streak.”
In order to prepare for this match, the Highlanders are working on their partner dynamic for doubles matches.
“We just got new partners for doubles so we’re still getting used to playing with them,” Lin said.
This year, the team has been focusing on collaboration and team dynamics.
“The team has been very supportive and the drills that we do are targeted towards the skills we need to work on,” Lin said. “I know I’m improving everyday at practice.”
