McLean Gymnastics competed at South Lakes Dec.10 for their second meet of the season. They finished third place for the second time this season.

“We will continue to improve and hopefully we’ll do better for the rest of the season,” Wilson said.

On Monday Dec. 3, McLean gymnastics held a home meet, their first meet of the season. As they tried to uphold their State Championship from last year, this new season has proved to be very different.

“McLean got third all around, and the last time we got third was the first meet two years ago when we were missing our best people,” senior Samantha Wilson said.

The team secured third place with a total score of 126.45 points. Madison took first place, but senior Sara Vavonese got floor champion.

“We did well and it’s only our first meet we can improve our skills and do better at the next ones,” Wilson said.
