Game Night takes rivalry to the next level

Game Night starring Jason Bateman (Max) and Rachel McAdams (Annie) delivers a full-throttle gut wrenchingly funny movie that a points acts as a thriller and a comedy. The story begins with Max and Annie meeting in a bar while playing a competitive drinking game. They fall in love immediately once discovering that they both hate losing and have a natural talent for board games. From there their whirlwind romance ends with them getting married and settling down in the suburbs and having their friends over every weekend for game night.

The intrigue begins on one such game night when Max’s older and more successful brother Brooks, played by Kyle Chandler, comes over. He constantly emasculates Max and one ups him whenever he gets the chance, prompting Annie to convince Max to let Brooks host game night so he can beat him once and for all. However their plan of defeating Brooks at his swanky new mansion gets thrown a curve ball when Brooks announces to the group that they are not going to have a typical game night. He announces that the group will be playing a Murder Mystery where one member of the group gets kidnapped.

Brooks’s light hearted game immediately takes a wrong turn when he himself gets actually kidnapped. Believing that it is all part of the game Max and Annie play along as does the rest of the group. However as the movie progresses they quickly discover that what they are experiencing is real.
