The German Honor Society is helping raise money for UNICEF to help people in Puerto Rico, who were impacted by the recent devastating hurricane there. German teacher Karen Wolpert has stirred up competition between German 3 and 4 students to see who can raise the most money when trick-or-treating for  Halloween.

“We are raising money to help UNICEF aid Puerto Rico after seeing how damaged it is after the hurricane,” Wolpert said.

The German Honor Society is a group of students who are dedicated to helping the world community.  Every year in the past they have raised money to buy a cow for a family in a developing country.  The students participating in the German Honor Society are having a positive impact on our community and others.

“German Honor Society’s goal is to help others,” Wolpert said.
