“Younger Now” will make you feel younger now

“Younger Now” jerks tears in old Miley lovers

After listening to Miley Cyrus’s latest album Younger Now released on Friday, Sept. 29, not only did it leave me incredibly hooked and impressed, Miley has successfully reconciled her old musical style in a way that will send happy chills up your spine.

Some may have thought we lost this version of Miley after she went boy short with her hair, and began her era of wearing hardly, well, any clothing, but that as they truly do say, “was just a phase, mom.” If you’re a fan like myself who is still shocked that Hannah Montana’s real name wasn’t Hannah Montana, this album will touch the very bottom of your heart for sure.

Miley’s main focus inside of her album seems to be about how she is tying back to her old Tennessee roots, and everything that inspired her to do so. The album also contains tracks about Miley’s hardest times and what she learned from them, including songs about her dad (Billy Ray Cyrus), her fiancé (Liam Hemsworth), and even her best friends boyfriend who unfortunately passed away due to an overdose.

The song style varies as Miley joins her country godmother in the twangy tune “Rainbowland”, takes us into her dreams with “Inspire,”  gives you a song to blast in the car with your best friends with “Thinkin” and even makes you tear up and think about that special someone with “Miss You So Much.”

Regardless, Miley was truly foreshadowing for herself in her song “Younger Now” when she quotes “… change is a thing you can count on,”.
