It’s safe to say that everybody is down with the cold weather. Hopefully the weather will be a lot warmer when April comes around. But until then, here are some ideas to do in the month of April:

1. National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade

After visiting Washington D.C.’s 3,000 cherry blossom trees, go watch the parade on April 12. There will be entertainment, decorated floats, and loads of performances, including pop singer Aaron Carter. This is a great event to go see with your family and friends. For more information, go to: http://www.nationalcherryblossomfestival.org/2013/07/09/national-cherry-blossom-festival-parade%C2%AE/

2. International Pillow Fight Day

April 5 is International Pillow Fight Day. Come join the massive pillow fight at the National Mall, near the Washington Monument at 3 p.m.

3.  Filmfest DC

Come to the annual Filmfest in D.C. to watch films from all around the world! Over 30 countries participate in this event. For more information, go to: http://www.filmfestdc.org/
