Spring tantalizes region

photoThe final evidence of last week’s snow storm melts away, making way for spring to finally captivate the region. With spring comes the NHL and NBA playoffs, the start of baseball season, spring sports, NFL free agency, and beautiful weather.

“I like that the weather is warming up now and that I can wear shorts to school without regretting it,” senior Ben Bloom said.

If you walk through the hallways of McLean it becomes apparent that Bloom is not alone with this sentiment, as most students are starting to put away warm and heavy winter coats for light and comfortable shorts.

Furthermore, for students who play an outdoor sport, spring provides good weather for them to go outside and train.  “I like that I can run in nice weather instead of freezing weather,” junior Juan Esteban Baus said.

As spring finally begins to control the region, the student body, and community are cherishing the spectacular weather, and end of this very interesting winter.
