[list_item] Laugh More, Stress Less will be holding a meeting today after school from 2:15-2:45 p.m. in the Career Center. [/list_item]
[list_item] Big Macs: tomorrow during Highlander Time is your end of the year celebration. Since we also have some official business to attend to, plan on being there for the entire Highlander Time. Please make alternate arrangements for any academic concerns. [/list_item]
[list_item] Project Enlightenment members are reminded that there is a meeting tomorrow, Jan. 9, in Mr. Howarth’s room. The meeting will take place during Highlander Time at 8 a.m. Those of you who cannot meet in the morning should meet during the make-up meeting after school on the same day. [/list_item]
[list_item] Adopt a Mission is collecting new shoes to donate to children in Calcachen, Mexico.
Bring new shoes to Y228, Ms Jarrell’s room, along with your name and grade for a chance to enter the raffle with prizes such as the new iPod touch or the iPad mini. Any types of shoes for boys and girls are welcome, especially sandals and sneakers in sizes 4, 5, 6 and 7. Let’s make sure all the kids in the mission center have shoes this new year! [/list_item]
[list_item] Tomorrow the McLean Highlander wrestling team will be having an intense match-up against the Langley Saxons at Langley. Come and support your Highlanders. [/list_item]
[list_item] There will be an ICU Club meeting on Thursday, Jan. 10, after school in the Lecture Hall. Come and share some New Year cheer! It is extremely important that you attend: they have planned exciting upcoming events for you. See you at 2:20 p.m.! [/list_item]
[list_item] AP Night is Thursday Night from 7-8:30 p.m. It is for parents and students in grades 9-11. It is an informational evening to explain the AP program and give students and parents a chance to ask questions and see what the various AP courses are actually like. It is highly recommended that those planning to take an AP, especially for the first time, come and ask questions. [/list_item]
[list_item] The Ultimate Frisbee Club will be having its first interest meeting this Thursday in Mr. Munaker’s room, B182, at 2:15 p.m. Make sure to dress appropriately to play. [/list_item]
[list_item] There is a MANDATORY girls varsity tennis meeting this Friday, Jan. 11, at 2:30 p.m. in the Drivers Ed room in the Red Hall. They will be discussing important things regarding tryouts coming up in the middle of February, so all girls planning to try out must attend. [/list_item]
