The temperatures don’t appear to be raising anytime soon, but spring is around the corner. Here are some fun things to do in the month of March:

1. Blossom Kite Festival

Part of DC’s annual Cherry Blossom Festival, the Blossom Kite Festival is a great way to spend quality time with family or friends. There will be demonstrations, competitions, and more! Bring your kite to the Washington Monument on March 29 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

2. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Parades

The circus is coming to DC on March 21-24. In honor of the year of the dragon, they will be performing a special, DRAGONS. Before the showings, Barnum & Bailey’s elephants will be marching on Capital Hill on March 19 starting at 8 p.m. Buy tickets at ticketmaster.com.

3. DC Environmental Film Festival

From March 18-30, DC will hold a film festival to view over 200 films from all around the world that showcase the environmental challenges the earth faces. This year’s theme is “Our Cities, Our Planet.”
